 Confessions of a Barbie Doll ~ Week 1
So, Pregame DR out of the way, here we go again. I am back, The Killer Barbie, for one final go at the title of SOLE SURVIVOR in this series. Both times I played this game, I got 9th, both times screwed over in a different way. I can't believe it's been so long since I've played the game. I wasn't even 19 when I last played and I'm turning 22 and going into my senior year of college in the fall. Things have definitely changed since the last time Barbie Doll Drea graced this series with her presence. But both times I played this game, I had enemies. Season 6 it was Mookie, Season 7 it turned out to be my own allies, who turned on me at Final Nine...I was too much of a team player in All-Stars for my own good and lost sight of the fact that this was ALL-STARS and I wasn't the only person with a cutthroat mentality.
 Yeah, that's just about the biggest lie I've ever told. Okay, it probably wasn't. I still LOVE my title this season, by the way, "The Social Monster", because if there ever was in this series, it was me. I knew what to say to who and when to say it and when to cut throats and when to be the sweet Barbie. The only thing I haven't accomplished in this series is win, and that's going to be rectified after this season. After deliberately finishing last in the challenge to pair with Corinne we picked a tribe of Allie, Bob, Edna, Yve, Morgan, Chicken, and Brice. I really like this group and I think that we will be a tribe that meshes together very well. Initially I created pretty tight bonds with Allie, Edna, and Morgan. Allie and Edna both suggested making an alliance with Corinne, and Brice and Corinne are aligned as well, so on the surface, barring no hiccups, the 6 of us should form a loose majority, right?
Wrong. Edna decided to sign OFF right at challenge start, and Yve lives in Slovakia and never showed up at all, so this led us to have a tough choice between the two. Initially, I wanted Yve to go (Still kind of wish she would), but she's actually made an effort to show up today and campaign to save herself, while Edna has just disappeared without a trace and might self vote. Even though I bonded with Edna probably better than anyone, including Corinne or Allie, I'm not going to jump in front of a train for her here. I am not here to be a martyr or a selfless ally, I'm here for me. If the tribe wants her to go, she's going to go. Brice told Bob he wants to vote Edna, Allie wants to vote Edna, Yve obviously will vot Edna, Bob will vote Edna, and if Bob's voting Edna so will Chicken, and Corinne and I won't jump up to save Edna, so it should be an 8-1 or 9-0 decision to send Edna out the door tonight. It does suck, though. As I mentioned in my video, Edna LOVES Totally Spies, my 2nd favorite cartoon as a child behind Powerpuff Girls (DuH). So it was easy to talk to her about cartoons and fun things. Don't have that person now.  Going forward, I see the tribe dynamics looking kind of like this: Corinne/Andrea - Alliance that could easily become a Final Two Brice aligned with us out of pregame bond with us both Allie wants to form a women's alliance so we probably have her in our control right now Yve will probably stick by me because of our European connection Bob/Chicken are some form of alliance and it might be wise to split them up if we lose again Morgan is a social butterfly and probably will be in good with everyone for awhile. We'll see if we pull her into a solid alliance or not. Edna is toast. Should be onto next week, but if not...Well, FML. Each week here on in, I plan to give you a video DR for sure, and, if time permits as it did today, a written one as well just discussing the dynamics and what transpires post-challenge.
